°°° Do not use for prolonged high speed runs! Speeds
exceeding approx 105 mph can result in high exhaust gas
temperatures and damage the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
!!! . Tested on stock trucks on a Mustang Dyno. Stock
means just that. Stock. Even the air filters were stock.
The 03 produced 130 HP more @ 30 PSI of boost while the
04.5 produced 170 HP more @ 40 PSI. We checked the
"baseline" (the stock truck HP at the rear wheels) twice
in a day in order to be sure about our findings.
The above declared HP numbers are all rounded down to
the closest number. For example the 90 HP file actually
did 96 HP. That's a 90 Hp software to us, not 100. The
170 HP was 174. The power gains with the 03's-04's would
be actually higher if we started from a 235 HP engine.

ABS / Speedo Recalibration
The tire height can be adjusted up to 44" in increments
of 10 tenth of an inch in just a couple seconds. Of
course, Smarty needs to be VIN# locked to the truck in
order to get into the ABS adjustment section.
DTC Code Reader
The name says it all. You can read and erase codes.
Codes are displayed also in plain English. That's old
news by now. The VP Smarty was the first one to provide
that utility, others found the idea to be a good one
too. Smarty does erase ABS codes too but does not
display them.
ECM Update Speed
Faster than anything else on the market. Again, we've
done our homework on the protocol. Depending upon the
year of the truck, it takes from about three minutes to
about five and a half. Three times faster than
competitors.
Updates
If you have followed the Smarty for the VP trucks, then
you've noticed that MADS has released several updates
for it in a relatively short time. Well, you can expect
the same to happen for the CR. The CaTCHER software
modules as they are today are only a starting point.

Fast guide to S-06 POD Smarty's
software levels
The horsepower settings. except #0,
all other softwares have a modified "Torque management"
( TQM ). The throttle response is greatly improved but
is set to a save limit. With "Save" I mean save for your
tranny and rest of the driveline.

Power on Demand 100 power levels
selectable in just one second while driving! It's easy:
just type the preferred power level directly on Smarty
keyboard, from 00 to 99. That's all! For security
reason, the truck waits that the throttle is released
before applying the new power level.
No trace is left in the ECM!
MADS Electronics does herby CLAIM that
SmartyCR is the FIRST AND ONLY downloader that does not
erase any of the stored data in the ECM. Smarty does NOT
leave any electronic footprints in the ECM or any other
electronic module in the truck. Smarty does NOT set ANY
codes once the ECM is set back to stock. Smarty does NOT
need to have fuses pulled.
No matter what the competition claims
, in one way or another they're ALL detectable. Smarty
is NOT!
Yet, Smarty can not do one thing for
you. Fix what others have broken. Smarty can not restore
a key on counter that another downloader has erased .
Smarty can not fix VIN# troubles caused by other
products. If your Check engine / ABS light is on because
another product has screwed your ECM, Smarty can not fix
it, the other guy HAS to...

 While
Smarty remains MADS flagship product, we're proud to
announce the release of the new Smarty Junior.
This product is geared
toward the customer who wants reliable and safe power
for both the engine and the transmission combined with
good fuel mileage. In fact, the main concern during the
development of the performance software have been lowest
EGT's and lowest smoke levels possible.
Even when used at the
highest horsepower level, typical exhaust gas
temperatures are on average 200°F cooler than with stock
software! Under normal driving conditions Smarty junior
can be used without the need for gauges! Even towing up
to GCWR

pressure is Not Increased above the factory settings
- SMARTY-JR is
designed for both MPG increases and EGT reduction.
The SMARTY JR was tested on stock
trucks using a Dyno. Stock means just that - off the
factory floor. Even the air filters and wastegate
settings were left stock for this dyno testing.
We ran a "baseline" ( the stock truck

Software Module Zero
About
half the power of a stock software. Use it whenever
reduced power is desired or when you have to make sure
that NO SMOKE is produced.
Software Module
One
The
Fuel Saver software. Mpg gains vary, in most cases a + 2
MPG has been reported. Please note that the timing in
this software is rather aggressive. HEAVY TOWING is not
recommended with this software setting.

This
software increases the fuel delivered by the ECM.

Same as
software # 2 but timing has been added.

Four to Nine
The
even numbered software are identical to the odd numbered
ones, except for the timing. The software setting
without added timing are intended for use with timing
adding boxes.
The power gain at top RPM with these software settings
is almost identical. These settings differ greatly in
HOW they get there. Than higher the software number then
more aggressive the throttle response from idle speed
up. Aggressive to the point that the software modules Eight and
Nine can become difficult to handle on slippery roads.
Please be very careful when you use these software
settings for
the first time. It takes some time to learn how to
handle them.
